Thank you Lainie

For coming into Michael's life.. For sharing your beauty of spirit and mind with him and us. Because of you, Michael died loved and loving. He died a happy man...and you made him that way.

I always try to inject some thing from a Patricia Neal movie I saw so many years ago.. Something she had read at her own (character's) funeral...

"Remember me with smiles and laughter
for that is how I'll remember you all
But if you remember me only with tears
then don't remember me at all."

Cyber hugs...

I wasn't perfect by any means, but he loved me
in spite of that. thank you for the lovely
words.

you know, one of the things I'll miss the most
is showing him a poem or picture I've worked on.
he was so encouraging and would have me just
beaming. and we loved to discuss poetry;
sometimes we would read aloud to each other.
those times were so special to both of us.

I'm thankful for the time we had.

It's raining in NE Ohio
because the sun is to ashamed to shine
...

In Kent
an alleyway floods
cannot drain
the tears of poets
fast enough
The walls
whisper poems
back and forth
In a cafe
no words fill
the poets
A moment's silence
echoes against
their muse
And all over
a place called Amerika
there are memories
Memories to soon
to be needed
And beliefs
in deities are shaken
And every written page
consists of the word "why?"
The Buddha
no longer sits
with wisdom to share
His truth stiffled
but there will be
no lasting silence
The walls grow louder
and the poets all
find poems in their souls
they can not credit
and Michael sings
His poems are on my lips
and I can again smile
Knowing an essence
can never die
and poetry will always
last forever
