hhmmm, having been put in the position of "trying" to be clever with the content of this bio, i find myself at a loss. i'm better at the impromptu i believe. anyway, i write "poetry" which my family and friends patronizingly say is fine. however, the professor at our local college, (Bucks County, Pa. Poet Laureate for several years) seemed to have quite a different and less complimentary opinion. (smile).. i write for therapy which is more than any person should expect. it seems to be safer than medication and a lot less expensive.
i'm not an artist, a photographer, a musician, or a math teacher. i do APPRECIATE art, film, music and i like math. (smile).. i travel the highway and i have 13 earrings in my left ear. that's all i can think of that's "clever".

• What do you do for a living?
I’m into movies. (dumb answer, yes… but relevant)
• Who are your favorite artists?

NOT andy warhol!! I’ve been pondering this question ever since I read the very first interview done here way back when… I kept debating in my mind whether or not I should list the thousands of gifted beings whose work I’ve admired or just say something “clever”. I’m going to do neither of those things though. My favorite artists would be those who I can remember impressing me at the very earliest age. In kindergarten.. the book entitled “Little Black Sambo” (which is no longer PERMITTED to be distributed within the public libraries)???? I can still remember thinking about how good those pancakes with that melted tiger butter must have tasted. In first grade?.. yes.. the “Alice & Jerry” readers.. “Go Jip, go. Run, Jip, run”. In first grade also the 23rd Psalm which we read each day before beginning class. That verse has just stayed with me all these years even through the 60’s when I probably didn’t remember who wrote it. (grin). And the most impressive of all? My fourth grade reading book, “Singing Wheels”. I even tried to buy a copy on Ebay last year. Oh well… so much for sentimentality. And in the last three years.. I would say the writings of a certain bloke from Oz has left a lasting impression.
• What influences you to write about/how you do?
You should only write what you “know”. So, my life is what influences my writing. And the love of my life has had a profound impact. (kis)
• Where do you see the underground writing scene in 25 years?
I can’t see it. I most likely won’t be around… and anyway… do you think the people in the year 2026 will give a damn what I think
• from cait - describe the smell of sex in 25 words or more…yaaa -
this is a very nice question really.. (coming from cait I mean). I’m pleasantly surprised. I kind of have a feeling though, that no matter WHAT I say here, I’ll be incriminating myself. I’ll chance it though and say…
red wine… ripe, sweet grapes… patchouli and boo… saying iyam and knowing that it’s a soul thing more than all else… and the soul smells like the sweetest summer rain hitting a sizzling pavement, dripping down from the petals of unkempt rose bushes growing under the kitchen window…
