• What do you do for a living?
Right now I am student. Last year of college. Working for a B.A. in English with a minor in Journalism. Twice a week I work in the campus mail room. Write whenever something comes to me. Follow pro-wrestling. Probably go back to school for a MFA after a year or two off.
• Who are your favorite artists?

Anything I read inspires me. I love stories, no matter how mythological or straightforward or anecdotal or postmodern they are. Recent joys discovered: Doug Rice, William T. Vollmann, Cormac McCarthy. Favorites already: Hemingway, Twain, Michael Hemmingson, Mark McLaughlin, Harlan Ellison, Wayne Allen Sallee, Todd Moore, Albert Huffstickler, john sweet; that's just a sampling, I know I am forgetting some.

I prefer reading and stories to anything else. Very little music (if you can call it that) clicks with me. I am a firm believer that music has died. No popular group really cares about putting out a good album (by this I mean an albumn you have to listen to straight through - classic examples: DARK SIDE OF THE MOON, SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND); all they want are the singles that will make it onto the radio. The last great albums, as far as I_m concerned, were Radiohead's KID A and Moby's PLAY.

What I do listen to is very eclectic. Classical to contemorary compopsers to rock to jazz to bluegrass to ska to comedy to death metal. Sometimes I like to turn my radio to the classical station and leave it there. I like John Chowning, Gyorgy Ligeti, Karlheinz Stockhausen, John Cage, George Crumb. I like Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, the Beatles, Radiohead, Travis, Moby, Led Zepplin, Hendrix, Pulp, Hepcat. I like Blind Lemon. I like Bill Hicks and George Carlin. I like Vader, Kittie, Burzum, Black Sabbath. Again, this is just a sampling, I know I am forgetting some.

Art is art. Art is beautiful. Goya, Dali, R. Crumb are favorites. Again, this is just a sampling . . .

I don't like dance. I consider it a waste of creative energy.

• What influences you to write about/how you do?
Life, literature, music, people, nature, sex, my dreams, dreams in general, the news, history, technology, the Internet, everything really. I have a hyperactive imagination. It never shuts up. (Not that that's a bad thing, mind you.)
• Where do you see the underground writing scene in 25 years?
Probably where it is now. A combination of print and electronic magazines. The price of paper will probably go up and so more editors will go on-line and create respectable webzines, ones that publish quality work, not like a lot of the shlock you find on certain pages now. There will still be the traditionalists (like me) who prefer to hold their published work in their hands and not pass along an URL if someone wanted to read it. But they will die out with time.
• from cait - what are your pets peeve and do you throw up or down - ?meaning whatever this question meant to you the split second you read it..
Pet peeves: stupid people, overly-religious people, people who do not know how to laugh, people who take themselves too seriously, people who do not read.Do I throw up or down? I throw through a wall.

if interested in my work do a google.com search of my name some poems and prose will come up - look for AMORERT ONLINE, PEGASUS DREAMING, HAIKU NOIR, etc.
