• What do you do for a living?
I weasel a meager living out of silk screening t-shirts for another human. I despise what i do, yet it keeps my kids fed, and gas in my twenty year old oldsmobile. Despite my prosperity I'm certain my attitude will not change anytime soon.
• Who are your favorite artists?

I am in love with any concept of Dada. whether it be written, imaged, or performed I believe it describes as well as executes the idiosyncrasies of the eloquent absurdity of our circumspect existence .
• What influences you to write about/how you do?
I adore childrens crayon drawings
We create.
Then we die.
We are born to do this.
this is life.
Let us live it.
while we can.
This is my major influence...
This is why we masturbate
• Where do you see the underground writing scene in 25 years?
There is no other reason. this is the underground as it will always be twenty-five yrs ago a hundred year from now smell the air? now, slowly in through the nose... out through the mouth Brweeeeeeeeth...
• do you execute your artwork before you paint, like did somebody really nail yer penis and nuts to a table before you put it to paint or did you have a model and since you live in florida, the seasons’ love-bugs are in ‘heat’, do you find it annoying to swim through them when you go out the door and does your car own a bra!?
I execute my art work always before i paint it this way its doesnt squirm when i apply the brush and indeed it was my penis in this painting
I nailed it myself
The little people were extras i hired for emphasis
everything i do is metaphoric self-portrait.

my genitalia now rest in a sealed mayonnaise jar on my mantle right next to
my wifes picture of her great grandmother
no doubt a lurid symbol of genetics
just to remind me of the balls i once had
thus the realm of domescility i now ingest

love bugs are not a problem for me
I love watching free in love in such essence of space
floating in pairs before us
getting plastered to our steaming radiator at an insects moment of orgasm
Its a real James Dean kind of thing.
My car does not wear a bra
It IS old
Its tits ARE sagging
but it gets me from point A to point B with dependability....
Jah love, Man

• questions submitted by contributors (no names) •

• What goes bump in the night, lives in the basement and /or haunts your dreams?

my penis scares me the most. it has a mind of its own, and shows up as a separate grandiose entity in my dreams....I am In a constant confrontation with my own testicles and it seems the testicles have won... yes, i am certain they are mine...this embodies the castration one achieves in an evolving relationship either with oneself or another...you are welcome mr.freud...
• How many pinwheels does it take to start a tornado?
pinwheels and tornados...pinwheeels and tornadoes...pinwheeeels and tornadoes... the question should be"how many sphincters does it take to turn enough pinwheels to start a tornadoes...
• Jump?
hey, I'm just talkin outta my ass anyway you look at it... now JUMP!!!!... i did that...I am married with children...enough said
• Is there any subject/object not properly a subject/object of art?
We are surrounded by art. All things are prey. It is left to the group or individual purging through considerably innumerable levels of interpretation and affectation as to what art really is, does, or does not register as an after affect toward amoral or invective stimuli but for the most part the word responsibility comes to mind...
• What taboos, if any, remain for the artist in general and/or for you personally?
In general what exactly is taboo? After seeing Mapplethorpe dressed in leather looking over his shoulder with the handle of a bullwhip stuck up his ass i think the boundaries of what is taboo were clearly stretched to transparency after that, the word responsibility again haunts my perceptions...
• What are your top three artistic priorities?
I never thought of making priority out of nothing. The nothing being my art. But if i were to place any value on it it would have to be a commitment to the invocation convocation and provocation of thought. That elusive enigmatic entity so poorly avoided by most...
• Tell us what makes you melt and why.
Not sure what this all means but i will assume it has to do with the salivary association of several orifices with and of a turgid state of being.
• It's obvious that the idea of community is important to the editors of The-Hold. Talk to us about how this community developed over time and what you see as its future.
An interesting question in that it involved a sort of natural evolution of like mind and serendipity. I dont know of the similarities of us as individuals. i see each one of us as one painting. in and of itself. Kind of off color and out of wack. While at the same time in love with artistic license and the freedom of expression we are homonids lost amidst our mottled instincts in a continuous search for a source of cold beer ...never mind current events...freedom of thought in its most horrific depiction will exist forever..it is the good with the bad in a futile circle of love, murder, mayhem and an overabundance of superfluos smarm in the form of jesus christ, the new gestapo and the unmitigated annoyance of the proliferation of boy bands....
I just hope i die before my children...
