foreplay
Well, friends, another issue of The Hold has arrived, albeit a little
later than expected. LOTS of new faces, lots of familiar
ones. This is a pretty fucking big issue, let me tell you!
Which is good, because it's going to be the last one for a while.
Yes, dear friends, I'm throwing in the towel. Any of you who
already publish things like this know what a massive time committment
it requires, and I just don't have that kind of time free. I
don't know how Cait managed it, but it's become painfully clear that
she was super-human. For more details and whining, click here.
What's going on?
• Jonathan Hayes
has teamed up with photographer Bill Nolan to
give us something very intriguing.
• ron androla and John Korn
have done something similar, but completely independently! The
stars must have been aligned this summer.
• Jayne Lyn Stahl
wants to announce a panel discussion entitled “Writers of the Storm: Fake News, and
Public Decency, in the Age of Terror” on Sept. 28th in
Berkeley. Click here for
details.
• Cat Townsend
gives us a review of Mark Hartenbach's "beneath
the valley of the blue-eyed boys".
• Harry Wilkens
sent in what looks like the full manuscript of a chapbook, and it is
GOOD.
• Debbie Kirk
got tired of stalking, and has moved on to detailing the lives and
times of, well, common dimestore whores and
addicts.
• Thomas Vaultonburg
seems to have lost something important in his third poem.
• t.k. splake
tells us the story of the "Cait Tree", and has included a nice photo.
